  Beverley Badminton Club

  Beverley Badminton Club (formerly Leconfield Badminton Club) is based in Beverley and plays at Beverley High School Norwood. It is a Badminton England Premier Club and has both a Junior and Senior Section. Junior Sessions are held on a Monday between 6.30pm and 9.00pm. Performance Centre Sessions are held on a Tuesday between 6.00pm and 7.30pm. Senior Sessions are held on a Tuesday between 7.30pm and 9.30pm. The club plays Level, Ladies and Mixed Doubles in the Hull and District League. All are welcome.

  Burnholme Badminton Club

  Burnholme Badminton Club is based in the east of York and has been welcoming badminton players from the York area for many years. We are a friendly mixed badminton club in York, established over 20 years ago, and we play for fun, exercise and competition. In the 2025/26 season, we entered four teams: two mixed teams, one women’s team and one open team into the York & District League. We accept players aged 18 and over. We play on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm at Burnholme Sports Centre, Mossdale Avenue York YO31 0HA. We play with plastic shuttles and cater for experienced, intermediate and improving players. Unfortunately we are not able to take beginners. To maintain the standard of the club we require a minimum level of play.

  Clifton Badminton Club

  We are a competitive club that plays throughout the school year, with a break in the summer. The 2026-2027 season runs from Friday 4th September to Friday 30th April. Our club is affiliated with Badminton England and we play in the York & District Badminton League. We have a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and we are always looking for new members to join us.

We welcome new members who wish either to play socially or would like the opportunity to play league badminton. We also participate in the York & District badminton league. You are invited to join us for a drink at the pub afterwards. We also organise social events.

  Pocklington Badminton Club

  We play at Francis Scaife Sports Centre in Pocklington. Club nights and matches are on Mondays 20:00 to 22:00. The club provides plastic shuttles for club night / matches. Afterwards we often to go to the aptly named Feathers pub in the town centre!

  We pride ourselves on being the best-performing badminton club in the York and District league! With our A teams consistently taking 1st place, we offer a highly competitive environment across our Ladies', Men's, Mixed, and Yorkshire League teams. To maintain our competitive edge, we require a minimum standard of play and unfortunately cannot accept beginners. Additionally, due to unprecedented demand and limited court space, guest access is temporarily suspended.

There is no annual subscription and you only pay for each session you play (£2 per weekly session). We have spare rackets.

We are also a social club and after each club night a few of us often go for a drink at a nearby pub in Tadcaster. Throughout the year there are a range of club social events organised usually around Boston Spa or York.
